Terms of Service – Financial Planner
These Terms govern your use of Financial Planner (the "App"), provided by Naanayam Intellect & Solutions ("we", "us"). By installing or using the App, or by signing in with Google, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. What the App is
The App is a tool for recording and reviewing your own income, expenses, accounts, liabilities and scheduled cash flows, and for producing reports. It stores your data on your computer, encrypted, and can keep an encrypted copy in your own Google Drive.
It is a record-keeping tool only. It is not a bank, does not move real money, and does not provide financial, tax, accounting or legal advice. Figures are only as accurate as the information you enter.
2. Early-access period
The App may be offered in an early-access or testing phase. During it, sign-in may be limited to people we have approved, Google may show an "unverified app" warning, features may change or be withdrawn, and there may be defects. Please keep your own exported reports of anything important.
3. Your accounts and security
- You sign in with a Google account that you are entitled to use, and you protect your data with a passphrase. At setup you are given a recovery key. You are responsible for keeping the passphrase, the recovery key, your Google account and your computer secure, and for what happens under them.
- Your data is encrypted with a key protected by your passphrase and your recovery key. If you lose both, your data cannot be recovered by you, by us or by Google. We cannot reset your passphrase. You can, however, erase the account and start over (the unlock screen offers "Start over"); that deletes your data on your PC and the copy in Google Drive.
- The App locks itself after 15 minutes of inactivity and when you log out; this is a convenience, not a substitute for securing your computer.
- You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live.
4. Google sign-in and Google Drive sync
- Sign-in and sync require a Google account and are also subject to Google's own terms and privacy policy.
- You authorise the App to identify your Google account (identifier, e-mail address, name) and to read and write a hidden application-data folder in your Google Drive, solely to sign you in and to store and fetch your encrypted data file. The App does not access your other Drive files.
- Sync is a convenience, not a guaranteed backup service. It can fail, be offline, or hit a limit of your Google account. If two devices change the data at once, the App asks you to choose which copy to keep; the copy you do not choose is first saved as a backup file on your computer, but choosing the wrong one can lose recent changes from the other device.
- You can turn Auto Sync off, delete the cloud copy (Settings → Google Drive Sync), or revoke access in your Google Account settings at any time. Sync then stops; the data on your computers remains.

5. Your data
You own the data you enter. We claim no rights to it and do not receive it. You permit the App to process your data on your computer, and in your Google Drive if you use sync, solely to provide its features.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: reverse engineer, tamper with or redistribute the App except as the law allows; use it to break the law or record unlawful activity; attempt to access another person's data or account; or interfere with Google's services through the App.
7. Data loss, uninstalling and backups
- Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all data stored by it on that computer. An in-place upgrade does not. Uninstalling does not delete the copy in Google Drive.
- The App makes no automatic backups other than the optional Google Drive copy. You are responsible for exporting reports you wish to keep and for keeping your credentials safe.
- Clear Data, Close, Delete and Delete my cloud data actions are permanent once confirmed.
8. Updates and changes
We may update, change or discontinue features (including sync) at any time. We may also update these Terms; continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes will be notified in the App or on our website.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App or sync will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that data will never be lost.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the App, including loss caused by forgotten credentials, device failure, sync conflicts, uninstalling, or a third party's service such as Google's. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim (zero if you used it free of charge). Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and, if you used sync, deleting the cloud copy and revoking access in your Google Account. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms. Sections that by nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability) survive termination.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
